SN'S Fotography

I'm Sumantha Narayana, a Marine Biologist by profession and a full time researcher. My profession and my other hobby - trekking, takes me to various exotic locations round the year. Photography has been my passion from the initial years of my life.. I don’t know where it came from, but it’s what I hold on to, and I can’t let go… It is just another get away for me.. It is that something inside me that keeps driving me on, even in the most difficult of times. You never quit on your hobbies, no matter what happens..coz anytime something bad happens, it’s the only place you can escape into and let other thoughts sublime.. I have been lucky enough to pursue my passion for photography even during my work. A quick outing and some good photographs revives me for the upcoming work strain. I started off clicking first with the basic point and shoot film camera from Cannon and then with a similar Nikon camera. Later a bought a Fujifilm AX250 digital camera, which I used for a very long time till I bought my Digital-SLR Cannon 60D. Now I use my AX250 as my underwater camera with the help of an underwater casing. Initially I focused on landscape and portrait photography...but soon I got immersed into macro and wildlife once I bought my digital camera. Ever since Macro photography has been my LOVE, something I can’t avoid anywhere I go. Over the years I have learnt a lot as a photographer from various people who came in my life..their suggestions and critics has helped me all the way..
